I am looking to redeem 30k points for 10k AA miles (Redemption code 790). From what I can tell it is not an automated process.

Does anyone have any experience redeeming Marriott Points to AA Miles?
Do they send out a certificate with the your FF info on it? Or is it just a blank 10k mile certificate?

I am considering doing this to boost my wifes AA account for an AA award redemption. However the 30k points are in my Marriott account.

Any thoughts?
