Comp to Silver Available?
I will be staying in a Courtyard Marriot (downtown Omaha - familiar with it?) for the next 3-4 months, 4 nights a week. That's definitely enough for silver, if not maybe even Gold when I'm through. I'm wondering - since I will have already booked reservations in advance, can I email or call someone at Marroitt to get a comp to Silver?
It might make my first four weeks a bit nicer. :-)
I'm really wanting it just for the room request priority - i love having a king bed, but without status at hotels, I am always relegated to doubles, and stuck with a small desk and uncomfortable chair. Not very productive for business trips.
Thanks.

So basically what you're telling me is No comp, challenge maybe?
I've sent them an email and will follow up with a phone call this week.
Thx :-)

Why not just sign up for a Marriott Rewards Visa and you'll get status + 10,000 points?
Of course, Silver's basically worthless at Courtyards.

Definitely get your hands on the Visa. Silver status up front, 10000 points, and you can use give your points balance a further boost by using the card to pay for all of those stays.

I'd call the GM of the Courtyard where you'll be staying. He or she will probably be happy to accommodate room preferences. Based on your upcoming stays, you should be treated like "gold" at that property.
I'd would also get the MR VISA.
