First Marriott in Taiwan
Marriott will open its first hotel in Taiwan in 2003: Hualien Resort with 260 rooms on the east coast.
Marriott plans to open another hotel in 2006: Taipeh Marriott with 417 rooms.

Interesting. I spent a week in Taipei last month and was surprised that I couldn't find a Marriott-family hotel there. I'm glad that will change.
