No high-speed access. Not sure about dial-up access. The business center can be used (at a price) for accessing the Internet, but a nice rep at the front desk told us the speed was awful and suggested using an Internet store at the bottom of Via Veneto. We found it convenient and inexpensive. (Sorry can't recall the name.)

Sorry to bump up such an old post - but I was wondering if anyone had any recent experiences & whether the information in post #2 regarding transport to/from the hotel is still valid?
I'll be staying at this hotel for 2 nights March 20-22nd and was planning on using the train & then subway to get to the hotel. Could someone who's been there recently give me specific directions to the hotel from the subway (either the Spagna or Barberini stops)? I am pretty directionally challenged, so the more specifics, the better. Thanks!
I am really looking forward to experiencing this hotel as it seems like it'll be the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at!

We stayed at the Cavalieri in December, but the general distance is about the same. We pre-arranged for a car service (PM me if you want the link), and he was waiting for us when we arrived. About 40 euros; depends on how many bags you have. Very quick and direct -- the dispatcher speaks perfect English.
Likewise on our return, we called the same car service (an hour before we wanted to leave!) and they were waiting for us with a nice new black Mercedes. Same 40 euros.
In and around Rome, we pretty much walked everywhere -- central Rome is pretty compact.
Upon re-reading, I realize I was thinking you were arriving at FCO. Sorry

We are heading to The Rome Marriott in April, any recent experiences or suggestions? We have arranged one of the reservations with one-way car pick-up from the airport.
Any input would be appreciated.

I also took mercedes trip to airport for $20 more.
There is a huge internet cafe at bottom of the street that has very low rates(around a dollar for an hour).
I ate at hotel several times and it was good. They indicated they include free breakfast for "gold" and higher on reward stay.I am only "silver".

Standard award type stays always cover only the room rate and the taxes on the room rate. Stays at full service hotels usually do not include breakfast in and of themselves. Plat & gold members have access to a concierge lounge, at full service hotels, during the lounge hours, during the weekdays. Light continental breakfast is available there. (If a hotel doesn't have a concierge level, it obviously doesn't participate; and Resort Hotels aren't required to participate in concierge level access for Plat & Gold members.)
Anytime ("override"; used to get around availability problems) award stays come with breakfast each day of the stay (for two people). Anytime awards are 50% more expensive than normal to cover the "override".

I was there back in 2000, unless the workout room is vastly changed, it was a small room (I believe in the basement with just a couple of pieces of equipment). I decided to take my runs over in the Borghesi Villa (Park) which is right next/near the hotel. Wonderful setting and much more inspiring. I think that's what I'll imagine I'm doing on my treadmill tomorrow.....

Workout room is extremely limited and when I recently stayed at hotel on an award, breakfast was not included even though I had Gold status. Situation may have changed. Hotel is in a great location. Enjoy Rome.
