Guam Marriott?
Any information available on this one? Is it better or not as good as the Hyatt which seems to be the first choice on the island?

The Guam Marriott is the former Pacific Star Hotel, which used to be owned by the Republic of Nauru, not sure if the property itself still is. It is next to the Pacific Islands Club, in a relatively isolated area of the Tumon strip. The Hyatt is more centrally located to the strip hotels, restaurants, shops, etc. All of the Hyatt rooms face the ocean. They used to have a pretty lively nightclub, but I've not been for a couple of years. The rooms in most of these hotels tend to get a lot of wear from the Japanese "weekend warriors" who take the 3 hour flights down for 3 or so nights. Its much easier and cheaper for them to get to than Hawaii, and they still get that taste of the USA.
