"BILL" Award
Platinum members are allowed to nominate two Marriott employees per year for this highly sought after award. My problem is that I have 3 employees that I want to nominate when I receive the information in late Jan.
All three have really taken care of me in 2001, and I can't leave one name off the list. With 116 stays(2001)does anyone think Marriott will accept all three names???

Thanks for you're reply.
I'll gve it a try.
All three people are very deserving of this reward and when I mentioned it to them they stated that it was the highest award that they could receive.
Hope it works!!!
Thanks again

As a MR Plat for a few years now, I've never heard of this award. Would you kindly expand on it or provide a link where I could find out more about it, I have a couple of employees I would love to refer.

Writing a letter to Bill Marriott works! I have written several letters over the years and the Marriott folks receive commendations from corporate. I think you will find that this has a "magical" way of getting you better treatment at most Marriotts. It works better than those who arrogantly flash their platinum cards and beat up on the front desk staff when they don't get their room on the c-level.

I have written complimentary letters occasionally, and I know that the employees were recognized. I was not aware of a formal program allowing Platinum Members to "reward" employees.

Hotel's can actually nominate back of the house associates for this award as well since most Plat's do not come into contact with them.
Unfortunately there is no link, as they want the associates to truely earn it and the plat's to really mean it (by writting a letter)
Hope this helps
Oh the address to write is: Bill/Bill/Terry/John, 1 Marriott Drive, Washington DC 20058

Yes, I am Platinum and have been for a number of consecutive years now. I write letters only rarely, but in one case I saw the woman again, and she thanked me very sincerely -- and even gave me a gift, totally unsolicited, of course. Apparently, her award was really a big deal (at the Bangkok JW Marriott).
