Towel Changes?

I spent a lot of time trying to convince the Marriott I stay the most frequently at to adopt a more environmentally friendly towel policy - no change unless put in the bath tub. Unfortunately I could not.

Does anyone know if there is a corporate policy on this that forces them to change towels everyday?

Thanks,

Steven

I think the deal is that if you hang your towel up on the bar, they don't replace it. Some also have cards you can leave on the bed if you don't want your linens changed.

These "environmental policy and awareness" cards have ALWAYS irked me. It is a MONEY saving issue for the hotel, period. That is the ONLY reason a hotel will comply.

I leave the towels and wash cloths on the floor and they know to replace them with clean dry ones.

Pretty common sense if u ask me!
