Same Hotel Stays - Check Out and In

My stays tend to be long (weeks at a time). So, in order to take advantage of this double everything promotion, I wonder if I can:

- check in the hotel for 1 day
- check out
- check in for 1 day without my marriott number
- check out
- check in for the rest of the stay to get the double promotion

Is this allowed? Is there an easier way (i.e. can this be negotiated with the hotel)?

I really don't have the desire or time to stay at my local Marriott for one night - already traveling too much as is.

Thanks,

Steven

- check in for 1 day without my marriott number

you could even try to have this second night credited (with 500 miles) to a FrequentFlier program directly.

No, you can't. You must provide your MR number in order to earn miles.

my LH miles&more and also my Qualiflyer program allow me to earn 500 miles per stay with Marriott without being a member of Marriotts Reward program.

username - I have done exactly what you are proposing and have not once been denied points or stay credits. Sometimes it has been on purpose, others it has been due to change of plans or cancelled flight. I check out in the morning, check back in that evening and get credit for 2 individual stays. On the 25K promo, it was # of stays, not # of nights so checking in and out was clearly an advantage to staying 3 consecutive nights. This is against the rules, however.

usernamei'm in the same shoes. I tend to stay a long period of time at RIs. However, I think if you zero out your account every week...they credit you with a stay. At least it happened in Livonia,MI and here in Charlotte-Piper Glen.

Now, do you have to physically move all your stuff out and back in? Or the hotel can usually just do the paperwork and leave you in the same room?

Thanks,

Steven

Username, No nothing is out of the room, i just simiply zeroed out my account for everyweek so I can do my expense reports. This is actually my company's travel policy. For some reason, only RIs credit my zeroed out account as a stay.
