I think JW properties generally will offer more personal service to elites, but I wouldn't say it is universal amongst JW properties, as I have stayed at several JW properties where I didn't feel they went over and beyond their normal service. However I have stayed at a few FS properties where they made a lot of extra effort to make sure my stay was pleasant. One FS property told me they weren't able to offer me an upgraded room because they were full, but they left a hand-written note from both the GM and the FOM welcoming me along with a box of chocolates. I don't expect an upgrade if there is no availability, but a hand-written note does show attention to detail that is not common in the hotel industry.
