Mulitple Stays, Multiple Cities--Same Day

I have a question. I have to be in Raleigh next week and am staying at the Courtyard at RDU. On Wednesday, I have to make a quick hop up to Cleveland (returning early Thursday). Instead of carrying all my luggage, I plan to just stay checked in at RDU. I will spend Wednesday night at the Courtyard Airport in Cleveland. Do I get credit for both nights in my stays for the year?

Almost certainly yes. I have had this situation occasionally, and I got double credit. The Marriott computer doesn't seem to screen it out.

I agree. There are legitimate revenue generating stays. You will achieve the 5000 point bonuses a bit more quickly as well.

Absolutely.

I do this 4 or 5 times a year and always get the "double" credit.

I am sure you will get credit. I got double credit for one night when the hotel screwed up a future reservation and dinged me for not checking into a reserved room when I was already registered in another room in that hotel. They refunded the extra charge but did not take back the points.
