I'm also fond of the Richmond West lounge where I spent 9/11.

I stayed at the Ren in Chicago over a weekend about four months ago and although the lounge was open, I was told that it was normally closed but open only because of a major convention was in town.

If you like the SF Marriott view then you would also like lounge at the Ren Parc 55 a couple of blocks away.

JW Marriott Hong Kong.

Breakfast 7 days a week. 3 hot entries daily including a couple dim sum items. Fresh squeezed OJ.

Afternoon tea daily.

Complimentary cocktails every evening, including Friday and Saturday. Great selections of finger food.

Desserts nightly until midnight.

A conference room in the lounge. Use it up to 2 hours without charge.

Sydney is my newest number 1. It is open 7 days and operates from 6 a.m. to midnight. Great breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. with three hot entrees; fairly lavish spread from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.; dessert with dessert wines from 8 to 10 p.m. Complimentary beer, wine, and cocktails from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Coffee, tea, and soft drinks are always available during the day and late evening. Also has great views from the 30th floor of either the Bridge or the Opera House. But what makes it really special is the attentive and personable staff.
