Marriott Status comp
I'm a diamond with both Hilton and Hyatt - am travelling where the Marriott is much more convenient. I'm a silver with Marriott now - anyone know how to get comped to the next level? I'll have no problem requalifying just don't want to spend the time getting there and lose the points I would normally get with the others.

I've heard that Marriott is not good about comping status, but in the economic climate we're in and the many golds and platinums who have jumped ship to Starwood and Hilton, I think it's worth a try. I would call Marriott Rewards customer service, ask to speak with a supervisor, and explain your situation. They will probably ask for statements of the your Hyatt and Hilton stays to ensure they will get your business. You should have a fair chance at MR comping you to gold as long as you stay x nights this year. I have not personally tried this with Marriott, so I can't give you an absolute, but I think they will work with you. Good luck!
