Some Concierge Lounges are open on weekends; others are not; still others are open some weekends and closed others! This was the subject of a thread a while ago. What is irritating is that nobody seems to know whether any particular lounge will be open or not on any particular weekend. You have to call the hotel directly, and even then you may get incorrect information.

If I was in Salt Lake City, I'd be more concerned about where I was going to get a DRINK !!!

A few blocks from the Marriott, off the main street there's a New York style restaurant with a bar you can eat in .. you have to buy the temporary membership of course. They have seafood, steaks and other stuff. It was very decent the last time I was there.

There's also several vey good brew pubs nearby that serve food.

I hope you found them already.

For those of you that have never been to SLC, it's just as easy to find Alcohol there as it is anywhere. You just have to join a private club, so all the places that serve liquor have you pay a few bucks to get a temporary membership. When I stayed there, one of the hotels was handing them out in the lobby right in front of the lobby bar. I think most of the hotels have free membership if you're a guest there, or a guest of a guest, or if you can count to 2.
