Problems with posting points
Has anyone else had problems getting Marriott to post their points. I booked in a group taking 18 rooms for one night and received no points/miles. I phoned on several occasions, wrote a detailed letter and have recently emailed twice. I have received no reply other than the automated email reply. It is now over a year. I organise groups fairly frequently and have sworn never to use Marriott again unless they at least have the courtesy to reply to my communications.

Corporate rates, discounted rates, AARP rates... just about any rate.... qualify for Marriott Reward points. Have you called the Reward program to talk to a live human being ? Marriott is usually very helpful in assuring points are credited. They are often not quite as prompt in answering correspondence.

over a year ago - the programs were different then. For which option (Marriott Rewards or Marriott Miles) did you opt then?
They also had (and still have) special (10'000 points or so?) pointscredits for organizers of meetings/group-bookings (but such 'specials' did then exclude individual earnings - all credits went to the organizer).

Thanks for the comments guys. I did try to call Marriott; several times to the conference organizer at the hotel and finally to the 800 number where they promised to "look into it". Since I am calling ffrom ouside the US it is expensive to stay on hold for 20 mins at international rates........
I had elected for Marriott miles and the bonus for group organisers was in place at that time. SInce it was a school group there were no other individuals claiming credit for the rooms.
All of my communications seem to have been ignored. I suppose by now it is too far in the past for them to bother with it. After all, what is one customer to such a big organisation.
