Will Marriott Change Program in 2001?
Has anyone heard anything about Marriott
changing the point requirements (or modifying
rewards) in 2001, particularly the 150k/200k
vacation awards (which include 1 or 2 RT anywhere on the system)?
I only have enough points in the bank for
the 150K, but I'd rather redeem them than loose out (I want to go to Australia).
Maybe someone out there has some advanced knowledge.
Thanks.

I was told last year that they were NOT changing the 200,000 award, so I didn't order it in advance of the the change. AS you know the FREE 8 day Hertz FULL size car was removed from that award!

What they really need to do is improve PLATINUM level benefits (i.e. reduce or eliminate capacity controls for awards if you have made it to this level).
75 nights/yr. = 2 1/2 months of my time and I should be able to cash in where I want - when I want. The current system is ridiculous.
Also - get rid of the stupid paper certificates..this is Y2K - go electronic.
