Marriott Suites??

Has anyone stayed at a Marriott suites property? And what was your impression of it? Is it actually two separate rooms, or more along the lines of a Springhill suites setup?

I've been at Marriott Suites Midtown Atlanta on several occasions. the suites really are two rooms, and have refrigerators, etc. A very nice sitting room with couch, TV, and work desk. And a bedroom with another TV and either 2 doubles or a king. The couch also folds out if you need teh extra bed space. This is a very nice property.

My last Marriott stay was at Las Vegas Suites, and I have stayed at others, too. There is a door between the bedroom and the living room that can be closed. The living room has a sofa-bed. I'd call it a real suite. No experience with Springhill.

I've not stayed at a 'Suite' only property, but have stayed in a Suite at two Marriott's (both on weekend rates, comp upgrades) .. one at the Minneapolis Airport Marriott, one at the Racine, Wisconsin Marriott. Both suites were very nice with all the features people outlined above

I've stayed at both a Marriott Suites and a Springhill Suites. They are very different. The Marriott Suites, as SRQ Guy says, have two rooms separated by French doors (parlor and bedroom). These are generally full service properties, with bellman available and restaurant. Very nice. Springhill Suites are more like an efficiency apartment, with a small kitchenette. And weekly (I think -- it may be twice weekly) maid service, no bellman, no restaurant.

I have stayed at the Marriott OHare suites and it is two rooms -- same for the Marriott Suites at BWI. I have only stayed at Springhill once, and discovered I really miss the housekeeping service. They don't even empty your trash and getting clean towels was like pulling teeth.
