Posting Time?
I recently stayed at a CY on the 7th for one night and the stay has yet to be posted. The website says to allow 10-14 days for posting. I was just wondering on average how fast do they usually post?
This year I had 44 stays in HI's but want to start using the Marriott brands this coming year.

First, the website is not updated in real time, so it is possible that your stay has in fact been posted to your account. You can check by calling the automated line.
Second, my experience with Marriott is that if it doesn't post within a week, it will never post.
Third, when in doubt, fax it in.

Stays are usually posted within the 10 to 14 days. I have had problems with points from non-north America hotels. In this case a call to Marriott will quickly resolve this.
Just so that you know, you should be calling 1-800-450-4442 for your most up-to-date point balance since the MR website does not seem to update very frequently.
Oh.... and IMO you will definately prefer Marriott properties to Holiday Inn properties.

I've had all my stays except a handful post online within 2 weeks.. They seem to post in batches (ie the online system only updates every so often).
The phone status updates a lot more quicker. I've only had one stay not post by its own eventually. I filled out the online form about that stay and they credited me twice for the stay!

I noticed that my stay posted this morning (12/18). Now just waiting for the Hertz 1000 points to post and I'm on my way to wherever!
Thanks for your replys!
