Fall PointSavers

I am trying to book a vacation for early October, and would like to use Marriott points on a PointSaver location. Unfortunately, Marriott has not sent them out yet, even though the beginning of the period (Oct. 1) is only about a month away. Checked the web site, and they are not listed there yet either. Called Marriott Rewards, twice, and got two interesting answers. First person I talked to was not familiar with PointSavers, and didn't know what I was talking about. The second person I talked to "didn't think" they were going to be offering the Point Savers again--this for a program that Marriott Rewards has had for years. Also sent Marriott an e-mail request about the Fall Point Savers, and have received no reply to that either. Not great customer relations, Marriott.

Also sent an email and also called- needless to say, I'm also waiting! But not holding my breath. Any day?

Ironically, I had this same problem except I was waiting for the Spring/Summer Savers to post this past spring. It was late, too.

Unfortunately, they'll take their time in posting the Savers... I do hope they don't cancel the program.

With Hilton HHonors being exceptionally agressive with their PointStretcher availablities lately, I think it would be nuts for Marriott to delete this benefit. Have you seen Hilton's list for the fall? About 3 times more properties and dates than in the past. These discount point levels are mutually benefitial to both hotel chain and the consumer, allowing the hotels to fill empty rooms during slow times while permitting customers with flexablity in travel destinations and dates the increased value of their precious points.

I called and spoke with Marriott Rewards yesterday. I was told that the Fall Point Savers will be announced mid September. The validity will apparently begin October 15. I did not get specifics on which hotels, but I was told the list will be significant.

Thanks flyaway. They may be of help to others if you want to post details, but I'll just call Marriott back since I'll likely try to book as well. I called early this morning after checking their website. Both had nothing to say. No information! I also got my Marriott CM statement last week, with no info. What gives with Marriott? They do not answer my emails, and the customer service line is always busy, busy busy. Sounds like bye bye Black level with Marriott, either for awhile or perhaps for good! Enough ranting for now Sorry! Thanks again for your kind offer flyaway.

doc: I have not had any problems with Marriott yet. They always answer my emails and I have no problems getting their CS dept.

I can scan the booklet and email it to you.

Don't give up on Marriott yet. They may just surprise you!

Funny. Some people don't get one booklet for the Club Marquis stuff -- and I got TWO on the same day, with the exact same address..

I know those 2 for 1 certs say 'Only one cert per member' but I wonder if I can still swing using 2 of them... Hmmm..

Hey, dg1, you got my cert! All kidding aside I don't see any reason why you can't use both! You must be "livin' right!"
