The Marriott Rewards program has been added to ClickRewards. Anytime you buy through ClickRewards you can now get Marriott points.

Marriott sent me an e-mail announcing this which was nice of them.
My e-mail said the exchange rate is one click
point for 1.5 Marriott Rewards points.
I'm wondering if this is a temporary offer
or will be standard rule? (if it's the latter
it's very generous of both.)

I believe that you can convert Clickpoints (subject to certain min. transfers) to Marriott points but not the other way around, and this should be standard. I do not think that this is very generous considering that if you want to convert marriott points to airline miles the conversion rate is effectively 3 marriott points = 1 airline mile.
I also got the mail through Marriott and I also think it was very nice of them to inform me.

Rudi: You can try www.marriottrewards.com
and in the information or contact us section
on the web page e-mail them saying you would
like information on getting contacts for
special offers and other information.
I don't remember signing up for this -- I
signed up for so many services from my airline and hotel programs its a blur.
But it helps when you learn of a special room
sale or ticket offer.

Rudi... Jodie James at Marriott Rewards corrects me on my last post. Marriott does not provide weekly e-mail of special room rate bargains or offers.... she suggests you check the Marriott Rewards site "www.marriottrewards.com" site periodically
for new offers and specials.
I don't like giving misinformation and I
apologize to you and anyone else who I left
confused.
And for everyone... Marriott says for now
ClickRewards will be a permament member to
get points. Nice deal. CATMAN
for new offers and specials.

I think the marriott e-mail was just a general e-mail sent to everyone. It would
be nice if Marriott posted any specials
via e-mail.
Weekly I get e-mails from United, American,
Hilton, BizTraveler and AirCanada for special
offers. Wondering if Continetal does the same because they asked me for my e-mail address.
It's a great way to save a few dollars on those last minute trips and stays.

Catman ~ Continental does have such a mailing every week also, they're called CO.O.L. (Continental On Line) Speacials, and you can sign up for them somewhere on their website.
US Airways has such a mailing also, and I believe TWA has specials on their website, but I don't know if they have a mailing.
A good source of hotel deals is TravelWeb, they have weekly hotel deals from Intercontinental, Hyatt, and Sheraton.
Webflyer's Deal Watch is of course the easiest place to go, just go there and they have a listing of all the airline specials and most hotel specials (though they do not seem to have the above mentioned TravelWeb hotel specials).

Beckles, thanks for alerting me to TravelWeb.
I have used DealWatch a few times in the past
and it's been a big help for those last minute "can you go here" trips. Thanks for
your help and HAPPY FLYING! CATMAN
