Marriott CC - invite to reapply?
I applied for the Marriott CC last yr and it was closed due to a fraudulent charge.
They are sending me a invite for a Marriott premier card w/ bonuses.
Will chase give me the bonuses if I reapply?
Do I need to reapply to a different Marriott card (eg. not the type I had closed) to get the bonuses?
BTW: The card that I closed was a Premier. THe invite is also for a Premier.

If you received the bonus for the last one, I don't think you will get the bonus again for a second time. From what I recall, the sign up bonus is only for first time card holders. If you apply for the regular Marriott Rewards CC (silver color one), you should get the bonus for that.
Some credit cards allow you to sign up for them again. I think the card has to be closed for a certain amount of time before you can re-apply and qualify for the sign up bonus.

Was the invite addressed to you as a MR member, or as a former Premier card holder?
If the former, I would agree they probably won't give you the bonus. If the latter, it's obviously targeted at those who have cancelled their cards, and I would think you would get any bonus they're offering.

Will you be using this CC if you get it? If so, I say apply for it anyway. I know a lot of users are signing up for the different cards for the points/miles, but I don't see a point to it unless I will use the card also.
Worth a shot anyway. Worse case you don't get the points and you can cancel.

It also down to whether you want the card or not for your Marriott reservations. Call Chase up. Let them know you were invited to apply for the card again and ask if there are any sign-up bonuses.
