Unexpected bonus night?

I am gold but have a new job and will have few stays this year, in fact only one stay so far this year
Stayed at Marriott eastside and got credit for night but also showing a one night bonus. Just curious what might the bonus night be from ?

I will get 15 nights from the Marriott cc so probably will qualify for silver

Nice if more bonus nights show up

The cc free night is probably what you are seeing.

Did you spend over $3000 on the cc? That might be the bonus night.

is it possibly a bonus cert for an anniversary date with the CC? Were you credited your 15 Elite nights yet?

Update: after reading Mr Vker's post, I re read the OP's original post. She is stating a bonus night credit not a bonus cert.; therefore, I am thinking it may be a birthday bonus night as well. Hoping the OP will post again soon, so she can confirm whether or not she had a recent B Day.

For birthdays, you are awarded 1 elite night credit, not a certificate ; however, the OP is stating an extra night, so it's likely it could be the bday night credit since she did not specify a bonus cert. (I think I originally thought she was talking about a cert. until I read your post and then went back to re read her original post.)^

Birthday gift?

I don't recall ever getting a bonus night credit as a birthday present, and since my most recent birthday was only a couple months ago, I went back and checked, my account summary doesn't show one either.

Anyone know whether this is really happening, or just a rumor?

I too was just received an elite bonus night. It is not from the credit card as it is listed under promotional and not rewards credit card. Also it is not my birthday. Any other suggestions?

As a PLAT member I was rewarded a free night as a 'number of nights stayed' credit for my birhtday recently. So my account went up from 12 nights to 13 nights stayed for this year. It was not a credit for a free night for future stay.
Did your wife get the same or an actual cert. for a one night future stay!!

Same as you. An elite night credit towards status. (My birthday is in four days...still waiting.) Someone on the Birthday thread they received a Cat 5 cert.
