And, dude, sounds like its time for a little 'me time' at home....don't let stuff like this get under your skin too long.....life is too short.
Cheers.

My son and I enjoyed a couple of dishes from the bistro at the Courtyard LAX. Couple of burgers, chicken quesedillas. Tasty, fresh. Simple.
I think I know part of this trick. Couldn't get my laptop to recognize the TV as a second monitor. Eventually figured it out (not complicated, just need to be sure there are no inputs that conflict with the HDMI :-)
Have to agree with this. Every time I forget to remind the front desk that I don't want a connector, I get one. One time the man in the next room had the TV so loud I had to go knock on his door to ask him to turn it down. Turns out he'd fallen asleep.....whaddayagonnado?
Not to mention they're bright when they're on and might keep you awake
I actually see this as a sign of less penny-pinching; something of an anecdotal piece of evidence that the hotel is making a little money. I definitely noticed a couple of years ago that the soap (neither bar, mind you) was replaced at any point during a stay for what seemed like several months.
Call ahead and ask. If there's maintenance, try another hotel. Or maybe another chain?
Where in the heck are you staying? I know Courtyards are everywhere, and I've stayed in very few, relatively speaking, but I can't say that I've ever seen one that's had plumbing issues like this.
Can't argue with you on this one. Bring a DVD/Blu-Ray from home/redbox, do that HDMI cable trick and there you go....HD movie on an HD TV.
Ditto.
Can't say that I feel your pain.

....Forgot not to flush once and oops - water is off for remainder of evening. Seems like properties have not received proper maintenance for a long time and now Marriott is trying to play catch up across the entire hotel chain. Since I travel extensively I tend to encounter a lot of these properties.
Can't say that I feel your pain.
