I have been knocked back to Silver on MR, and need to figure out a way to get back to Gold. HH now has auto Gold with VISA Sig, but I need a way to get it for Marriott.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

If you can do 12 nights at Marriott properties within 90 days you can call the MR customer service and sign up for the MR Gold Challenge. If you can do 18 nights in 90 days you can sign up for the MR Platinum challenge.

The Gold & Platinum challenges give the you MR level you choose right away. Assuming you meet the challenge requirements of 12 nights for Gold or 18 nights for Platinum within 90 days of signing up for the challenge, you keep the level for the remainder of the calendar year that the challenge ends. At this time of the year it means you get the level for the rest of 2012.

I found out about the MR challenges from my boss as there is nothing posted on the MR web site about them. The MR customer service people definitely know about them if you ask.

I have several nights lined up for November, December, and January. Can the challenge cover different years?

Yep--it just has to be a 3 month period
