Arrival Bonus Never Clears?

Arrival Bonus Never Clears?
Anyone else having issues with this? It seems to be happening more and more to me with no recourse. (re: promised points that never appear)

1 - had issues with front desk at Richmond Marriiott West - when they sent the "how was your stay" survey at the end of my stay I explained it and after a few nice phone calls and emails with the manager - he promised me 5k bonus points. That was nice of him - it wasn't the goal of complaining but I thanked him.
He sent a followup email asking for the names of the other people in my party (there were 4 of us) that stayed at the hotel - I didn't feel that had anything to do with my issues but as a result - the points never showed up. That seems a little questionable, sorry for the bad service - here are some points - but if you tell us about the other people in your party?!?!
2 - Marriott Research Park Triangle - took the bonus points instead of amenity - they flat out never cleared. Kind of hard to keep tabs on this as points seem to take a week to show up.
3 - (my favorite) Renaissance Dallas Hotel - took Mrs Not the Walrus there for her birthday (good views of dallas). Checked in - selected the wine and cheese amenity (for her) and 2.5 hours later - still nothing - they call me first and ask if we ever got it (it's now 10pm) and I tell them no and it's a little late now - they apologize a few times and offer to give me 2x the checkin bonus points - ok - fair enough. Surprise - they still have not cleared?!?!?
Am I the only one who seems to be having these issues recently with Marriott?? It seems to come and go in waves with them. I dunno - if I stayed once or twice a year I wouldn't mind but I am in the middle of an extended trip (only 4 days at home in 2.5 months) and staying almost exclusivity in Marriotts (when available) it is bothering me more and more.
Its starting to feel like the reward for loyalty is just average treatment. (I never seem to get room upgrades any more either). Seems like the only "bonus" for Platinum Elite (lol) is free internet.
Meh - just venting I guess.

The only time in recent memory where I didn't receive points promised at check-in was at the Huntsville, AL Courtyard. I think it was this past May. Of course the night I stayed there the hotel's front desk was robbed at gunpoint so perhaps they had more pressing matters to deal with.

This has happened to me 4 of the last 7 stays, since around 1 Sep. In the previous two years, I think my plat amenity points failed to post only once or twice. Additionally, I am experiencing a much higher error rate in the posting of regular room rate points and property-specific promo bonus points. Something is rotten in Denmark, for sure.

I had the same problem reaching upon reaching PLT.
This is how I look at it. If you are PLT, 500 points is crap, worth 1 / 40th of a normal minimum decent one night 20,000 per night room. So why bother, you've probably got tons otherwise...
Better to get the cheap bottle of red wine for a cheap buzz (and nuts) to take home and collect the $100 every so often when it doesn't deliver.
Other view points?
