when does M pull certificates from account?

when does M pull certificates from account?
I stayed at a Ren. recently for 3 nights, two on cat4 bonus certs and 1 night on points. The points are gone from my account, but certs are still there a week later.
I think in the past they would pull them instantly, is this normal to still have them as available?

Normally the cert is gone as soon as the reservation is made. Are you sure they only pulled points for one room.

yep, these are the only two entries i have deducting stuff:
09/29/2011 Reward 1 Night, Category 4 Hotel -20,000 pts
09/28/2011 Reward 3 Nights, Category 4 Hotel 0 pt
dont know why it says 3 nights, it was 3 total - i only had two certs, so cant be anything else. They disappeared from account and then appeared back....
