Points on Vacation Properties
Hi all,
Would anyone happen to know if reservations made for Marriott resort packages through, for example, expedia would qualify for points when staying? I'm guessing not, but I thought I'd ask. Additionally, paying for such a resort with a Marriott Visa would probably not also get the x points/$1 bonus for spending money at a Marriott, yes? Am I correct in this estimation?

Point qualification varies based on the rate paid and site you book through. In general (with some exceptions), points have not been awarded for packages booked through non-Marriott sources. As for the points/$ spent on the Marriott visa, that would definitely not apply to third party site bookings.
