EEO at Renaissance?

I called to get a reservation at the Renaissance Washington, DC Downtown Hotel. The agent first told me that the only hotel that participate in EEO in DC is the Washington Marriott at Metro Center. She found a nonrefundable rate of $159 per night. I told her I could not go with a nonrefundable rate yet. She then checked and told me I could get EEO offer at the Renaissance Washington, DC Downtown also. So I went ahead and made the reservation. Now I am reading the fine prints on the certificate and found that it clearly states Renaissance Hotels & Resorts do not participate in this offer.

Did the agent make a mistake? She said she made a note on the reservation that I will use EEO. Should I be concerned?

There are two different EEO Certs. One if for JW and FS. The other is for Ren. https://www.marriott.com/specials/me...splayLink=true - but you will need to be logged in to get there. (This is the Ren cert.)

For future reference, non-refundable, advance payment rates do not work with the EEOs.

I just took at the list of inclusions/exclusions. The Washington DC JW Marriott is not excluded.

Agree. Excuse: didn't see it because I skipped down the alphabetical list to Washington, where it was not listed. Sorry.
