Marriott Concierge please respond
I feel that this is too important too be burried in the thread announcing these changes.
The link provided goes to a post by Andrew(who is leaving his post today)-one of the Marriott liassons for flyertalk. There is nothing listed there either for the very important list of hotels moving up from a cat. 4 to a cat. 5. There are only fifty changes listed out of the 350 which are supposed to be changing catagories
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/15923751-post1.html
This is EXTREMELY important as many folks hold certs good for a free night up to a catagory 4. If the list is not made available these folks will be left holding certificates worth much less than when they earned them.
As the changes go into effect in 8 days it is ridiculous not to publish the full list of changes.
I look forward to the full disclosure of the catagory changes and would ask all of you to write Marriott and demand that it be published without delay.

While I would definitely prefer to have a Complete list, perhaps we can partially protect ourselves by making reservations proactively this week?
If we are considering more than one place to use the free night certificate:
Is it possible to make reservations at 2 or 3 properties for the same certificate and then cancel the extra reservations once we're settled on where we are going to go.

what about any properties moving down a notch from say 5:4
that would also impact our use of cat 1-4 certs.
I'm not sure (but then again I have no clue) about doing the multi reservation thing

Last year people asked for the complete list and it was never provided. Make any reservations you might want now, and if things move up you are protected, if they move down you can call and get a points refund.
