Free Breakfast?

I'm new to Marriott Gold and am using points/free certificates for travel over the holidays. Does Gold elite get you free breakfast at Courtyards? Thanks!

Most probably not but it never hurts to ask.

One of the big disadvantages of CY is that breakfast is not automatically included, whether you are paying with money or points. While there are some CYs that do offer this to elites, it is a nice gesture on the hotel's part and not a T&C requirement. As the other poster stated, it never hurts to ask.

Courtyards do not offer free breakfast as an elite benefit to anyone at anytime. This is one of the reasons (and probably the primary one) that CY is my least favorite Marriott brand.

A scant few of the CY properties may offer a breakfast-inclusive rate, but that certainly won't be with points.

As a Plat, I have rarely been refused free BF certs from the FDM at CY properties. Just ask nicely with a smile on your face I'm fairly sure that the FDM has rarely checked my status upon my requests. Hope this helps.

(However, having to ask is a pain which is why CYs are also my least favorite link in the chain)

Courtyard is not iflyjetz' favorite due to no free breakfast. I'd rather take a night at a fairfield inn or springhill suite.

Thanks all. Maybe I'll switch over to the Fairfield at the town I'll be in! Actually, I won't; chose the Courtyard for the 2 queen beds, Fairfield only has doubles. Oh well, since I'm staying there for free I guess it won't kill me to pay for breakfast!
