Need advice, adding name to a reservation
Hi experts,
I need your advice and expertise. My girlfriend is going to a conference next weekend and the conference booked her a hotel room at the local Marriott. I am going to be staying with her for two days and would love to get my name added to the reservation so we could have lounge access and I can get the points. is it as easy as calling Marriott and asking them to add my name to the reservation or is there any other steps I should take to get my name on the reservation?

Or you can even use the chat feature on marriott.com to "speak" with a rep to add it. So it's even easier.

Will this work on an award reservation?
My wife has a category 1-4 e-certificate. If she books the reservation, is there any way to add me and use my marriott number after the reservation is booked?
Not a huge deal, but I'm working on the US grand slam, and if I can buy an incidental during the stay and get it posted to my account instead of hers for a "hit," it would be valuable.
I guess the other way to do this is to enter my frequent flier number in her account for her earning preference, but I thought I read here that that may not transfer correctly.
