Marriott Rewards Rate, based upon availability

What does this mean? If I booked a room with this rate, should the room (or rate) be available when I check-in?

Yes. If you book with that rate, that is what you should pay. Though there are only a limited number of rooms available at that rate, once they are booked, there can't be any more be booked at that rate.

Does the Rewards Rate earn points and nights like a regular rate? Mine did not show up from a recent stay.

Yes, it does. Send in a missing stay request, and you will be credited with the appropriate amount of points.

Greetings - Dirk

Is there a way to Marriott night credits when purchasing through Price Line?

Hotel reciepts shows zero dollars spent as it's paid to Priceline. Not sure if room service or garage charges if added would make a difference to gain a night of credit for a stay?

Socrates; he does not appear to be asking about an award room, but a room at a discount rate offered to a Marriott Rewards member.

No - wholesaler rates do not earn night/stay credit

if that is the case then yes it would earn night/point credit (the OP's post can be read either way)

Yes, I was referring to a discounted rate called "Marriott Rewards Rate," not a free night with points.

Thanks for the replies everyone. This is what I thought based on past experience, and I will submit a missing stay request.

Oddly, though, I did receive some points for that stay, but they appear to be (based on my calculations) for restaurant and bar charges only, not the room charge. In my account it shows check-in/check-out as the same date, and I also did not earn any qualifying nights.

In addition to the discounted rate, I also used $100 Bonus Bucks, if that makes a difference.

Hmmm. Despite years in the Marriots Reward program, I've never heard of a "Rewards Rate" available to Marriott Rewards members.

How does one go about booking it?

It doesn't show up when you search online, but after you click on a rate, there will be several tabs to choose from (Standard Rates, Packages, etc.). One of these is "Marriott Rewards Offers." It is almost always grayed out, and even when it is active, sometimes the rates are actually higher than standard rates!

But once in a great while, the rate is actually really good.

As an example, look at the Blackstone in Chicago for March 3-6. Standard rate is $149 for the first night, going up to $189 for the last two nights. But the Rewards Rate is $134, and it locks in for all three nights.

I believe the OP is referring to a MEO (Member Exclusive Offer)

I just booked a room at the Marriott Rewards Offers Member Rate.

Don't really understand why they offer this though if the rates are even lower than standard rates and membership to MR is free?

So why doesnt everyone book at this rate?
