Turning a reservation over to someone else?

I have an award reservation for a one night's stay using points for October. The date is no longer available for an award. My husband should be receiving his annual certificate for his Marriott's Premier Visa in the next week or so. Is there any way to change this reservation completely over to him so we can use his certificate instead of my points? We'll both be going on the trip.

I would think you can do it by just calling the reservation line.

Hmm - what happened to the no blackout policy

Yes, the MR line is usually pretty helpful with this.

Thanks. I'll give it a shot. Wasn't sure if it was "allowed".

Might it be possible that all "standard" rooms have been booked?

Actually, I just checked and there are standard rooms available, but they're calling October 2nd a "special event". It's foliage season. Guess it wasn't a "special event" yet when I booked with my points.

Where's the hotel? Is it in a college football town that has a home game on that Saturday?

New Hampshire. Usually, it's the week before the foliage really peaks up there.
