3.000 points?
Since I will never stay in Marriott hotels again is there anything I can do with 3.000 points? Transfer them to someone else or transfer them to other programs?

You should have asked to get miles instead of points...
Donate them. I am sure they have that option somewhere.

Unfortunately 3,000 pts by themselves are almost worthless. They are below the line of any exchange that I know of. I think you are out of luck on this one.

Once you're eligible for coupon connection you could go there and try to trade them. I'n not sure what you'd get for them, though. Maybe some drink coupons.
There's not much else that's transferrable that anyone would want for 3,000 points. Maybe you'd get someone to bite at a few hundred spg points or something.

I choose to question your assertion that you will never stay in a Marriott ever again...Never is a long time. What happened to cause you to declare your death sentence?

I want to stay in world class hotels to have an experience or stay in holiday inn/best western to have a place just to sleep cheap. - Marriott charges too much for something that's not an experience. Just my opinion.

Just call Marriott Rewards to ask for a Point Combining Form to give your friend your points. Unfortunately, points can be transferred only in 1000 increments, so if U have 3545 points, U will be stuck with 545. MR will fax 2U, then U fill your half & sign, then give/ fax it to your friend, who fills out his half & faxes to Marriott. NO fee. It takes a few hours for MR to process.
The friend must have an award res. for which s/he is 3000 points short. He can quietly cancel the res. a few days later & keep the points.
