MVCI - MOD rate
As a european MVCI owner can I use the MOD code for a discounted stay at Marriott Hotels in Thailand?
Thanks in advance.

Just try entering the code when checking availability and prices. It will tell you if it's invalid.
In my experience, it only works for other MVCI properties though, so good luck.

Some hotels in Thailand do offer mod rate during non peak season. I just entered early December dates and found Marriott Resorts and Spa in BKK and several marriotts and Courtyards in Phuket that offer a special MOD rate. I did not try other cities...

Thanks for your input.
I was more concerned as to the validility of booking using this code. However, I have made a 2 night booking for the Marriott in Bangkok using this, prior to spending a week at both the JW Phuket & Khao Lak as part of air + hotel travel packages.

as long as you have proof of MVCI ownership, the rate is valid. I own Marriott timeshares in the US and have used the mod rate in Thailand without any hassles. I am not sure but the hotel may be able to check MVCI ownership from your Marriott rewards number...
