Rewards to FF switch
Can I take my rewards points and dump them into someone else's FF account ?
This seems the best way for me to help out a friend who needs a few extra FF miles.... transfer fee's between one FF account to another is costly but converting MR pts to FF miles is cheaper and easier for this situation. Anyone have an idea if this is possible ?

The answer is yes, kind of.
Marriott's T&Cs allow for spouses to pull points from one account into the other account when ordering an award. While the T&Cs state this is for spouses, Marriott will actually let you pull points from any other account. You will need to call MR and tell them that you want to combine points for an award. They will fax you a form. You need to fill out your portion and sign it. Then get it to the other person (can be faxed to them). They need to fill out their portion and sign it as well. Once the form is completely filled out and signed by both parties, fax the form back to MR.
Note that Marriott will only allow you to pull points from another account when you are ordering an award. Nothing says you have to keep the award after you have ordered it of course. So you can cancel the award later and all the points will be deposited back into your account. And best of all, no fees for this transfer. ^

I do believe that the names on both the Marriott account and the FF account have to match. So the way to do what you are asking is to tranfer your points into your friends Marriott account as I suggested. Then your friend can transfer the Marriott points into their FF account.
