Odd requests to hotel
So a few friends and I are going to see the band Rush in Toronto in July. We are all very huge fans and I really wanted to do something for my friends that would make sure they have an awesome weekend. I'm thinking about talking with hotel management to see if they can possibly place some items in our rooms the day we get there. (Some signed Rush merchandise, books, cd's, all that). I would provide them the items, all that I would be asking is for one of the managers to place the items in the rooms before we arrive. Do you think this is something they would do? I don't think it's that outlandish. We're staying at the Courtyard downtown Toronto.

Hotels do this all the time especialyl for wedding groups.
However, if you wasnt to check in early, this may make you wait, since they will have generally reserved a specific room and put the items in that room, so changing rooms or things like that could make it tough. You need to wait for prior guest to depart HKPG to clean room, then you can get in, so it may end up being one of last rooms celaned. But if you arrive after 5pm, you should be golden.

We don't intend on checking in early, so I think we'll be all set! Thanks everybody so much for the comments. I think we'll be all set.

Another idea: Maybe you could talk Geddy Lee into welcoming them to the hotel?
