Interesting. I have used multiple EEOs exactly as you were told couldn't be done. We were staying with some friends and I made two copies of the cert and used one for each room over the same weekend.
Think on this, when you print out an EEO, is your MR# anywhere on it? I don't see it on mine. And given you can "gift" these to friends, I could print out 10 of these and give them to 10 friends all staying at the same hotel on the same weekend. The hotel would have no way to know, unless we told them, that every coupon came from my account. I can see a hotel limiting the total number of coupons used per weekend (by anyone), but their ability to limit how many came from my printer is a little more hazy. |

Interesting. Our's print out with name and MR number on them.
I'm looking at Platinum Offers=>Marriott & JW Marriott Hotels: Treat Yourself to A Weekend Escape and A Free Second Night. There is no "certificate" per se, Step 3 in Taking Advantage of this offer, says to just print out this page. There is no listing of my account or MR# anywhere on that page. |

No. this is an actual BOGO. log onto MR and click PLAT OFFERS and you will see it there.
Is this deal only for normal rates (i.e. wedding rates wouldn't count?). I'm assuming BOGO means Buy One Get One. |

Sorry. New here. I can't find this anywhere. I am platinum, so it should be available. All the offers I see are for specific properties.

Yes, BOGO means Buy 1, Get 1.
If you are a Plat, then you should be able to access Marriott & JW Marriott Hotels: Treat Yourself to A Weekend Escape and A Free Second Night to see the details of the offer. |

There is also one for Rens: Renaissance Hotels: Make More of Your Weekend Getaway With A Free Second Night.
Really could use one for courtyards. Oh well... |

Maybe I have completely misunderstood what this discussion concerns. What are you printing out?

In the past, my name and account # were embedded and did appear when I printed out the cert. I just tried it now and only my first name appears on the cert, in letters small enough that I am sure it would go unnoticed.
And I just printed out a coupon and I don't see any personal data on any of the pages. |

Definitely interesting. I don't remember ever seeing my account info on the printout. (Doesn't necessarily mean it wasn't ever there. I have missed a few things over the years. ;) )

We always take two with us. One to give to the front desk at check-in and the second to give to the front desk when we check out since, in all of the times we have used them, we have NEVER had a correct bill reflecting the free night.

EE0 offer - unavailable?
Just tried to have an EEO applied to two reservations - one in Atlanta in March on a LNF rate and another in Chicago in April on a leisure rate (although I know there is a convention in the hotel that weekend) but the Platinum agent was unable to do so on either reservation. I've never had a problem in the past. Are these being severely limited? Curious that neither of them would work.
I will call back tomorrow and see if another agent can figure it out. |
I have just been told the new JW LA Live is a non participating property but it is not listed among the non participating locations. Anyone planning to stay using second free night.
I made a res and will call back after hotel opens to get a better response. |
