Flooded with Marriott CC snailmail
I'm getting at least one mailing per week trying to get me to sign up for the Marriott CC. I've never seen this much mail for one stinkin credit card. Do they ever give up?

Having never gotten any, don't know.
Did you ever consider asking them to take you off their list? I'm just sayin...
Cheers.

I've been getting the same stuff, seemingly weekly, for years. I have my account settings to allow "Global Major promotions, Elite-exclusive Offers and Marriott Rewarding Events." and "Destination and hotel offers, special packages and information on new hotel openings.", both estimated at once per month.
Credit card offers don't seem to fall into either, and I get my 1-2/month mail on the other topics. I've contacted Customer Service, who just points me to my mail preferences.
If you can tell me how to get away from these wastes of paper and resources, I'd appreciate it.

Shut off the spiggot - drop the allow everything, like CS pointed out. Truly, is there anything you want that you can't see in the Marriott promotions page online? I'm just sayin...

Cheers.

Agreed Sharon. I too have gotten my share of card offers from MR. No problem - my shredder works quite well. Last month they increased the incentives/bonus enough so that I applied and was accepted for their card. Now -- if they send me any more offers...

I get the weekly credit card offer mail as well. Just think of the money that could be shifted to the concierge lounge offerings. Take the price of the stamp, color brochure, return envelope, and the cost of the marketing and you get close to $1.15 multiplied by 4 (times I get stuff each month) time 12 months, you get $55.20!
For $55.20 they could offer bacon, sausage, fruit, oatmeal, or any other staple food item!
What the heck is wrong with you Marriott?

If you want to stop all your mailings for CC offers, simply skip a couple of payments on the cards you have.
