Marriott cancels on its own?!?
As I posted in the Delta thread, due to the snow in Connecticut, my parents' flight out of BDL was delayed and they're stuck in ATL overnight, unable to reach their original destination of SFO. My father called to tell me to make sure someone cancelled his reservation for tonight for the Courtyard San Francisco Airport. He said he'd try to cancel himself but I should double-check for him.
By the time I got into his Marriott account (I've memorized his MR number and he told me his password), the hotel reservation had been cancelled. I decided to call the hotel to make sure, and the woman I talked to told me that the reservation had been cancelled on the 10th.
Who the heck cancelled the reservation on October 10, when my father didn't know he wouldn't need the room until about 1:30 PDT today? Are there Marriott reservation gremlins?

1) could have been on a temp hold until a method of guarantee was provided
2) someone manually cxl'd it
the only ways it could have happened
