I believe the answer is never. 1 sign up bonus per person. That said, if you had the personal card you can get the bonus on the business card if you haven't already.

Thanks for the reply, in that case I might just reapply for the card soon (for points on spending) rather than wait for a longer period of time before reapplying and hope I get the bonus again.

Unfortunately the above link is only for the Personal AMEX, not the Business version of the card. Hoping to find a working link for the Business Card.

I just received a pleasant suprise from AMEX stating that I had earned a spending threshold bonus of 15K SPG points. I wasn't aware of this benefit and I'm sure this isn't a new card bonus as I've had this card for 3 years now. My statement seems to indicate that I'll earn another 15K for the next threshold. Anyone hear of this ?

I have not heard of this before. So what is the threshold you have reached?

I called them up and it seems it was the spend threshold for new cards. They performed an audit and according to them they never awarded it to me , and frankly I don't remember either :)

The 15,000 point bonus is for spending $35k in the calendar year. I made this earlier in the year, but they never gave it to me until two weeks ago. My wife got the same bonus. It's a nice perk with the card.

Is that something new? I've spent over $35k on my card this year, and haven't received a 15k bonus.

I know they give a 15k bonus for $15k in spend on a new card, but that's a one-time thing.

Is that what it's for? I received the same letter (and received the points). When I called AMEX to find out what the "threshold bonus" is, they told me it must be from when I originally signed up. When I told her I had already received all of those points, she said - "Oh, you're right, I see that. Well, I don't know what it's for, but because of your spending, I think you're entitled to it, and you should just keep them." So, are there other spending bonus levels that I can try to attain? And where can one see these threshold bonus details?

It sounds like you should lay low if you want to keep those points.

There have been complaints in the past that you sometimes need to pester AMEX to get sign-up bonuses of miles or points to post. Maybe they finally fixed some bug in their system and are now correcting what they perceive as mistakes. Just a guess.

While I will jump through hoops to earn points, if I'm not legitimately entitled to them, I want them to take them back. Something I inherited from my Dad, I think. :)

I suspected that, but to answer your question there aren't other threshold bonuses. I haven't even heard of targeted offers.

They definitely had some bug in their system. For me it was regarding receiving 5000 points for referring someone to the Amex Starwood card. From April to August I referred a couple dozen people and nothing came through, and then suddenly over the last 2 weeks, I did 2 separate referrals, and lo and behold, both times I got the 5000 points exactly 3 days after they were approved, just like things worked until April. I am fighting with them for the dozens between April and August, but so far, nothing has been resolved, besides for them opening a few silly investigations that produced nothing. Another issue is the fact that CS is clueless where to advance from here, and they insist that besides for them emailing some places, there is no number to give me, for me to speak to marketing about this issue:mad:

I've also received a letter saying that 'we forgot to give you 15K' about a week ago -my YTD spent was over 30K, but under 35K as of last statement.
