The publicly available codes on this thread are working as far as we know. Please note that not every code will work for every property worldwide.

The best thing to do, rather than just posting "I'm staying at (fill in the blank)/does anyone have a code", is to try all the codes first. As such, this thread is not for "cheaper rate" requests.
Note that It's highly unlikely that FTers will find a code that isn't already listed based on a one-off request.

If the code is available at the property, it will show that/rate. If it's isn't available, it will let you know that. Please note that if if one (or more) code is available, only you can determine if the cost savings fits with your budget. If it does, great. If not, you might want to try and see if the property has a local promotion going or if you can use LNF (Look No Further/Best Rate Guarantee) for a better rate. Also note that sometimes a publicly available code may show a higher rate than just a regular booking. Not always, but sometimes.

If you have discovered a new code, please post it in this thread and update this Wikipost. But please, this list is ONLY for publicly usable codes. No corporate or private use only codes please. Thanks!

Sure, if you want breakfast and perhaps an upgrade, it is fine, but especially for Gold or Plat members who may get this -- depending on the hotel -- why is not the competing R6M code viewed in a lesser light?

I just checked DC properties around Labor Day, and both codes yield the same price.

I don't know about you, but I would rather have the saavy savings bonus bucks -- espescially if staying at the Downtown DC Renn whose lounge is open on weekends, than to get a free breakfast (which the lounge would supply, anyway) and an upgrade, but no $100 bonus bucks savings certificate!

If you are not sure if you will get a free breakfast on the weekends, contact the hotel and get the name of the person if they tell you that you would get it if you are a Gold or Plat member -- it is that easy.
The R6M code gives a very good rate at the Renaissance Depot in Minneapolis ($139 vs regular rate of $249). Rate rules are as follows:

Renaissance Savvy Savings Promotion
-Valid dates - May 31, 2008 through October 30, 2008
-Purchase a room for 1 night and receive a $50 Savvy Savings
or purchase 2 nights or more and receive a $100 Savvy Savings
-Certificates are good for a future 2 night stay at any
participating Renaissance hotel.
-Some restrictions apply
-May not be used in conjunction with any other offer
-Only one certificate per stay
I did not receive a mailer for this promotion. Is there any reason why I can't use it?

Most are safe - read rate info first.

Looking for DT YYZ at XMAS - best rates at airport, though. Way up from past years.

Exclamation Good codes for DC hotels in Sept??

I have tried every public code looking for a downtown or NW DC hotel for Sep 21 to 24. Almost every code gives no availability, a couple give hotels 25 or more miles from DC. Anyone got one that works?

If you tried every one & it's not bringing up something, then odds are you're out of luck. You might want to try & break up the ressie into individual dates & see if that works. I just did that for a friend of mine last week. Turned out 1 of the days didn't have it available (no idea why), but the others did, so he made separate reservations & got discounted rate on all but 1 of his nights. Good luck. Cheers.

Sorry did not see your post before. Yes you should be able to do so.

Go to the Marriott website, choose the tab for deals at the top of the page and then input the city you wish. The offer should be one of those listed for the city since you were able to pull it up by inputting the code.

As I recall, many hotels in many cities were covered by the Saavy Savings offer promotion.

You're absolutely right! It came up.

Thanks, I'm relieved that I will be OK with that rate now.

Thanks for the advice. It didn't work in this case but I will keep it in mind for the future.

I tried LPR at a Marriott internationally. It is giving me an excellant rate. But heres the message:

VIP Meeting Point - Weekend rate for VIPMP members * Room Only *Deluxe room (King or 2 Twin Beds) * ONLY BOOKABLE ON PROPRERTY

Even though it says "only bookable on property", it allows you to reserve the room at that rate online.

Any thoughts on this one?

I would be prepared to show that you had the qualifications for the rate upon check in

government or NPR rates honored in GB?

I got a great discount using the government rate in York GB in October. Reading the Marriott Ts and Cs it appears that this rate (if offered) should work for a US government employee in any country. Anyone have experience?

Got a 50% reduction using NPR in Newcastle upon Tyne also in October. It came up as the Entertainment rate, but heck, I've got an Entertainment card. Anyone with experience with this discount?

I bought the entertainment card the spring of 07 just b/c the discounts to a couple of the properties I was staying at was so incredible it was just worth it to have it just in case the asked which they never did at any of the properties. Since I was on longer stays, I do estimate I saved close to a couple grand just by using that rate.. got points and stay credit too ^

Funny thing, on a different trip I got the best rate at a *wood hotel in Vienna using Entertainment. I just looked through the book again and didn't see anything about Marriott or *wood.

LPR code

I just used this code to check a CY in San Diego. The message said local code "Traveler's Aid", but did not mention ID required. The price went from $189 to $99 per night.
