Did the Marriott website have a refresh with different display and losing a function.
Tonight when I did my routine checking on existing award bookings in hope to find lower pricing, I noticed the screen looked different. The new screen looks having less information or because items are now compressed with only the "summary" info displayed.
Then I no longer be able to find the email function at the top. It used to have Print Email and a few other functions listed atop of the reservation display. I always use the email to send the reservation to my other email address because this way it would get rid of all the Ad junks that clutter the original reservation confirmation email. Cannot find the email function anymore....
Meanwhile the wrong display in Account Activity now is fixed.

Got the new UI today.
During the booking process the main screen after selecting the room type where you could note high floor/near elevator/type in 45 character requests, etc. is gone. I was prompted to login with the splash screen and brought immediately to the "want travel insurance?" summary screen and a "Book Now" button.
Lipstick on one of the biggest pigs I've seen in a long time. The Marriott website is pathetic.

I've started getting annoying announcements on the Activity page for my account. Like this:---
Your points are about to expire.
Don't lose progress towards free nights and once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Keep your points from expiring by earning or redeeming them on any qualifying activity by Feb 18, 2024.
---
I've got 8 nights just in the past month, so yet another IT issue I guess. Anybody else seeing this?

Yup - seems the only thing the 'update' did was break things and create more annoying inaccurate informational notices.
I wouldn't even call it lipstick on a pig at this point. Its more like just throwing paint on big pile of horse turds.

Yet the new UI has taken away some NECESSARY FUNCTIONS. Honestly dont understand HOW Marriott IT can continuously break the already often malfunctioning website...

The app definitely has a new interface. Now shows all rates by room type, but overall I find it worse - following the industry trend of looking like it was designed by and for four-year olds.

What is missing with the revamp, is the breakdown of the "EXTRA" category if/when the points post. Why is this so hard? SPG always gave us a detailed breakdown of our points earnings.

This is so weird
I've been on a long hiatus from travel but I just booked something and noticed this messaging
Which is weird because I have a handful of stays from 2023, and credit card points added most recently on January 18. But also my history is completely missing prior to August 2023. Choosing "Last 24 months" doesn't bring up anything further back then Aug 2023.
Also I could have sworn there should be a free night certificate in my account from the Marriott Amex and I don't see it anywhere and I really don't want to call them, ugh
How can they get points & stay history so wrong? Like, this is 50% of the reason for this website to exist. It's such a massive failure of a core function! Ugh.

No account activity posted for the past 30 days. If your last stay was 10 or more days ago and we missed it, please let us know.

The C-levels are letting the marketing department drive the ship. Like many marketing departments, you've got a bunch of people with no business experience and don't actually understand the industry nor their customers.
