Multiple point bookings at same hotel

Multiple point bookings at same hotel

I've never done this before so I'm wondering. My wife and I plus our family is traveling to Disney later this year. I used points to book 2 rooms at the same hotel for the same nights. Is that allowed since I will only be occupying one of the rooms and the other is occupied by family?

Sure, it's fine and permitted by the program rules. I have done this many times for extended family when we have done group vacations together. If you're not planning on paying for all of the incidentals on both rooms, you should have your family staying in the second room switch it over to their credit card. Side note, you're only entitled to titanium elite benefits for the room your occupying. If you ask nicely, the hotel may also grant elite benefits to your second room with your family as a courtesy. If they do, they are going above and beyond the program requirements. Enjoy your trip!

You will only get nights credited for 1 room, but yes no problem.

I travel with 4 kids so we always need 2 rooms if we arent in a 2 bedroom suite
