Ways of finding best cash and award rates for Gold elite ?
I am a Marriott gold elite with 106,000 points is there a way to search for the best room rate based on points and elite status or can you find better room rates by using promo codes?

There is a box on the search page to check for what’s available using points. There’s another line to check for discounted rates and promo codes. You can only search one type at a time, so you have to try both to see what works better for you.

Thanks to poster for this info; never knew of it. I have an iPhone. Once the hotel options appear, I started scrolling and a pop up offering Map or Grid appeared at the bottom of the screen. Once on the grid, you can add rates by clicking the + in the 3rd column (points and standard rates automatically show).
