Pets v Kids
For anyone that is anti-pets in hotels....
Currently sat at the bar in the CY Hawthorne LA, 2 adults come to the bar to order a drink, and kid a couple of feet away from them.
Parents are ordering their drinks.
Kid adjusts their clothing and pees on the floor. Yes. The kid pees on the floor. I'm a terrible judge of ages, but, the kid I guess is maybe 3 years old....walking by themself and quite self sufficient.
A fellow bar patron points it out nicely to parents, who just leave and do nothing.
Said patron points out to bartender and the "Caution, Wet Floor" plastic thing is brought out and the mess cleaned up.
Beat that.....

I would guess that it would be a health code violation for staff to simply post the wet floor sign and not clean up bodily fluids in a food service area of a public F&B outlet. It someone--adult or kid--throws up, do they just bring out the wet floor sign and otherwise do nothing? What if someone bleeds profusely? (Please don't tell me that urine is sterile.)

Overall, not sure why this is presented as a comparison with pets.

my wife and I were having a drink at the bar at Park Hyatt Beaver Creek after a nice day of skiing. Our kid was in ski school, and it was some
nice alone time. A grown man down the bar had been clearly overserved but wasnt bothering anyone until he suddenly stood up, unzipped his pants, and peed all under the bar. It was quiet, and we could clearly hear the splashing. Bartender seemingly didnt notice, we pointed it out, he didnt seem to want to believe it, so he just chuckled and ignored it. Needless to say, the vibe was killed so we paid our tab and left.

I remember how Dr Oz was on TV and asked about hot tubs and all he would say is he would NEVER use them. Oprah pushed him to answer more and I am sure he was afraid of lawsuits from the pool industry or scared of losing resort advertising as he would not elaborate.
