I finally got the notification for the 2025 promo/outdoor thing only to receive "Sorry, this promotion is not available" when clicking on the registration link. Not worth calling in from Europe for the small return.

Its definitely targeted; I dont have the offer in my account. Funnily enough, I constantly get Hyatt targeted offers even though its my primary program and I stay a lot anyway, while I dont think Ive ever gotten a Marriott targeted offer although it might actually influence my stay patterns since I use Marriott as a backup.

The 18,000 point version of the offer would have been more compelling. I have an upcoming Saturday stay that is currently an award reservation. 2K points isn't compelling for me to switch it over to a revenue stay. I got the award night for <20K points and if I did it as a cash stay would be $150+. 4K (first night on the 18K offer) probably would have been enough to convert to revenue stay. I could potentially see a second weekend stay during the promo period, and 10K combined points for the two nights crosses the interesting threshold for me. YMMV....

P.S. In general I look for 0.7 cpp on redemptions. Occasionally it works out so I get a better yield. With my current earn/burn rate 0.7 cpp works for me. For leisure, I have a lot more "utility" stays and very few aspirational stays in hotels. My leisure aspirational stays frequently are either not in a hotel or not in a chain hotel. YMMV....

Nothing for me, but I did receive the 2,025 points from the global promotion on a recent award stay, which shouldn't have happened.

Nothing for me. 130 actual nights in hotel beds.Excludes the 17 nights on double night credits and the 15 nights for having the credit card. All this on my own money as these nights are leisure stays. I know, they dont need to give me an incentive. A thanks would be nice.

I am at 82 Nights for the year so far. I had seven stays (13 nights) over the last three months. I will have 10+ nights for the remainder of the year. I have no idea how their algorithm works for choosing the targeted offer, if any, for each member. It has always been one of the mysteries throughout the years.
