The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection is Part of the Marriott Bonvoy Portfolio

We’re proud to announce that The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection is part of the Marriott Bonvoy family. So now you have even more ways to rediscover the world with the luxury, service, and hospitality that The Ritz-Carlton provides. Plus, you’ll receive Marriott Bonvoy member benefits, like earning points and Elite Night Credits — and you’ll be able to redeem points toward the cost of these bespoke voyages.

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s first yacht is Evrima, a state-of-the-art vessel that’s unrivaled for design and quality.

A few highlights:
  • Your Marriott Bonvoy Elite status will be recognized and rewarded throughout your itinerary.
  • Sitting right at the water’s edge, the marina platform lets you play in the ocean like never before. This signature feature offers access to nonmotorized water sports, like stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, and more, while at anchor.
  • Evrima is small enough to seek out tucked-away destinations yet large enough aboard to give you an incredible amount of freedom.
  • Your spacious suite has a private terrace, and the Michelin-inspired cuisine is second to none.
  • With a staff-to-guest ratio of nearly one to one, you’ll have access to a personal concierge; prompt, anticipatory service; and 24-hour in-suite dining.

To reserve your voyage today or to learn more, visit ritzcarltonyachtcollection.com/loyalty.

  • Redeem an initial 180,000 points toward a $1,000 savings on your cruise fare, and increments of 90,000 points toward a $500 savings thereafter

This is a value of 0.55 cents per point (less after opportunity cost). The last time Marriott provided a value of points was Homes & Villas where they nerfed it from 0.7 to 0.6. Possibly relevant for future dynamic pricing

Can we have clarification on what this means? What are the options across member tiers?

Choice of In-Suite Welcome Gift
*Varies by Member Tier

Requested quotes for two trips with no response a while ago btw.

The good news is the spending is considered qualifying spending for ambassador.
Yacht run for the future.

Honestly with this integration I more incline to try the cruise now.

Looks like it's actually doing the trip. Today it should exactly where it is now.

From my confirmation letter earlier this month:

These are the benefits you will have as Titanium Bonvoy member:
  • Private Invitation to Marriott Bonvoy Elite Reception
  • Choice of In-Suite Welcome Gift (choices probably explained/offered during onboard check-in)
  • Complimentary First Evening Laundry Pressing
  • Priority Boarding and Departure
All the benefits can be visible into our online page: https://www.ritzcarltonyachtcollection.com/loyalty

You can redeem your points initial increment of 180,000 Points toward a $1,000 savings on the cruise only fare After the Initial Redemption members can redeem in increments of 90,000 Points toward $500 savings. Points redeemed do not cover taxes, fees and port expenses.

You will earn five (5) Points per $1 spend on the cruise only fare paid, there are no extra points based on the tier. Plus, your extra 75K points

I'm considering booking this cruise in 2024. Can you clarify what this means, especially the extra 75K points?

What is you guys experience - do you get points on extras like S.E.A restaurant or shore collection tours? Do the points post automatically or do you have to chase them up? (just disembarked 3 days ago, but nothing so far)

Huge Cancellation Charge

I looked into taking a RC yacht cruise, but the cancellation charge dissuaded me. If you cancel the day after you book, you get hit with a $250/pp cancellation charge. But the real kicker is if you cancel within four months of sailing, you lose everything! So you will lose thousands and maybe potentially tens of thousands of dollars if you cancel within 4 months. I find this staggeringly unattractive. But they seem to be filling up their sailings, so I guess this is not putting people off. But what about other cruise lines- they don’t all have such awful cancellation penalties, do they?

Geez, 90,000 points costs $1,125 when there isn't a bonus offer. If they're going to tie redemptions to cash rates it would be nice if the cost to buy and the value in redemption were a bit closer.

And how would they be making money in that case?

It's a form of currency. You could buy an $1,125 Marriott GC and get $1,125 in value, or use that same amount of money to buy points to get $500 in value. Normally this wouldn't be an issue because you can sometimes get more value out of points, but if Marriott moves towards tying the point values to a set dollar amount then the price to buy points should be closer to their actual fixed value.
