Cars Eat Free Rate

Booked a week at a Residence Inn that charges parking. The cars eat free rate states free parking and a $25 gas card daily. However, I've seen information that the gas card tops out at $75. Is this correct and should I expect free parking for the entire stay?

Cute. I thought it was a typo for "cats eat free."

Doesn't state any limits on maximums. I wonder if I'll get a $175 gas card.

To me, it looks like the gas card should be 7 X $25 for a seven night stay. Technically, you could get nothing if you stay for eight nights even on separate reservations.

It would be like a “kids eat free” rate and not having any kids!

Except many people without kids actively avoid all of the kids eat free places because they don't want an excess of children running wild. With cars, the worst harm is that they fill the parking lot or swamp valet parking resulting in longer than usual waits to retrieve vehicles of all types.

With free gas, the car "eats" free. With free parking, the car "sleeps" free. So, it should be "Cars eat and sleep free rate"!

As Paul Harvey would say! And that is the "rest" of the story.

More like a kids eat free rate when your kids don't like any of the food.

I wonder what would happen if someone shows up for this rate without a car?

I wonder if whoever came up with this rate has considered Marriott's stated corporate sustainability policy and target to reduce its carbon footprint.
