I got matched from IHG Spire Elite - in the middle of a five-night stay. Now my question is - how to track the progress of the match? The app shows I’m now Platinum but just shows I need 50 nights to (re)qualify - I can’t see the 15 night last anywhere. Wondering if the stay during which I got matches will already count or only new reservations after the date of the status match?

My match from Hilton Gold to Bonvoy Plat just came through - applied 1 Sep approved 8 Sep.
|
Another data point - applied 2 Sep approved 8 Sep. IHG Spire to Platinum.

"After reviewing the documents you submitted, we were unable to approve your registration because the documentation you provided was incomplete or illegible. If you believe you received this email in error, please try againorcontact Member Support." I have re-submitted after pulling a proper folio/bill (which I suspect was the problem first time around..)...so fingers crossed again. |
Submitted request on the evening of 08/31. Email sent on successful match yesterday (09/08) and status updated approx. 15 hours later. The system seems to refresh around midnight.

Got the match email this morning from my HH Diamond.
Will wait to see if account updates at midnight then I'll make a booking for this weekend and see how life is in a Marriott as a Plat. I also asked to merge my previous account, as had 15 nights on it and silver level and 15k points... |
Do you guys think that marriott will extend 2020 status to 2023 ? As they did extend those 2019 status to 2022. If they do , will those got their plat status by status match get extended too ? or only those that completed 50 nights per year

I do not believe that this is true as it would complicate the IT batch process and - goodness knows - these processes are apparently prone to enough failure already. So you should be good to go if your scenario takes place. Unless anyone has evidence to the contrary? |
Submitted the status match on Sep 3 with my Hilton Gold member screenshot and folio stay receipt for Sept 2019 but received the following rejection 6 days later:
APOLOGIES After reviewing the documents you submitted, we were unable to approve your registration. Have escalated this for Marriott Bonvoy to look into rather than resubmit the same documents. Anyone else have this issue or have suggestions why? |

First two are at Rusutsu Westin. As platinum we got a family suite upgrade and Breakfast for two. Also 5 minute helicopter ride! Our rate is ¥27,000/night, minus 35% for Japan’s go travel government subsidy, so closer to ¥18,000 (USD$170). Crazy, but it is my tax money so I might as well take advantage of it. |
According to T&C of this challenge, it's required to have 15 nights within 3 months. "Nights", not "stays". Considering this, do you think that 2, 3 or more consecutive nights within one booking will be counted as 2, 3 or more nights eligible for purposes of this challenge?

We will count the nights and not stays. This means that 2, 3 or more consecutive nights within one booking will be counted as 2, 3 or more nights for purposes of this 3 months challenge. Kindly note the account holder must stay and pay for these required 15 qualifying nights (payment card must be under Bonvoy account holder). In addition, the rates of these nights must be qualifying rate. Nights spent while redeeming an award are ineligible and do not count towards the promotion. Only one room per hotel is counted toward a member's nights. Rates available through most third-party online retailers and select travel agency rates do not qualify for this promotion. Homes & Villas by Marriott International, ExecuStay®, Marriott Executive Apartments® and Marriott Vacation Club® owner-occupied weeks are excluded from the promotion. There is no retroactive registration for the Challenge, the earning date begins on the day of registration and credit towards offer cannot be given for past Stays. We hope that this has been clarified for you. If there is anything else you would like to include, please let us know. Have a wonderful day and stay safe. |
thank you very much for explanation :)
