I called today to cancel my Chase business card, and the CS rep said Chase is offering a $50 statement credit to post in one or two statement cycles. That gives me the annual free night for $49. Since I can get greater value for that night, I kept the card for another year.

Added: The credit posted in three days and hit before I have to pay the next statement.

Hi all, I just applied for and was approved for this card, got my 15 nights in dec and hit Platinum. Still working on the SUB spend but should be good on that. One question i have is do people have any suggestion on how to best leverage the $150 advertising credit ? What kind of purchases count towards that credit ? (i'm guessing facebook and google ads would certainly count, but what other options are available?)

Any ideas on the advertising credit?

Any other AmEx offers on this business card that people are finding a good value for their business?

AMEX Bonvoy Business Card question

Hi folks,

does the Amex Bonvoy for business still award 15 elite qualifying nights per year? I have the Brilliant one so I get 15 already - wondering if I can get to 30.

Thanks!

Yes, it still awards 15 elite nights and you can get to 30 total with both.

All personal cards give 15 and all business give 15. Doenst matter which one you have, but cannot double dip in the same category.

For those who missed it, AMEX announced a few new benefits to the card today:
  • 4x on restaurants is now world wide, not just in the US
  • Status is now Gold, not Silver
  • 7% discount on bookings
Curious to see how this 7% discount works and is applied, but a nice new benefit if its easy to use, especially with the Brilliant benefit going away

It simply shows up as another tab when I search (on a desktop) for properties:

This explains the "Amex Biz Card Member Rate" that I saw today. This is NOT an additional discount (i.e., you can't make a reservation using the AAA rate and then receive an additional seven percent off).

Yup, I saw this pop up randomly a few weeks ago and was wondering what that was about.
